April 8, 2013

Exactech announced today its support of an international medical education program on computer assisted orthopaedic surgery. The 13th Annual Meeting of Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery International (CAOS) will take place in Orlando, FL, June 13 – 15.

According to Robert L. Thornberry, M.D., president of CAOS International 2013, “computer assisted orthopaedic surgery has been around for more than 15 years, however, the need for improved surgical accuracy in orthopaedics remains paramount. This meeting is the best venue to introduce and advance new innovative, enabling technologies that have the potential to help improve surgical accuracy and ultimately allow orthopaedic surgeons to improve patient outcomes,” he said. “Through support of CAOS 2013, Exactech demonstrates their unique understanding of surgeon needs and their shared commitment to innovations in orthopaedics.”

Exactech will also support the educational program with podium presentations and demonstrations in a bio-skills workshop.
